It is one the largest prehistoric geoglyph figures in the world with a length of 119 metres (390 ft) Likely created sometime between 1000 and 1400 CE by a successive series of indigenous cultures including the Inca. The Atacama Giant, is an image of a deity that was used to calculate the movements of the moon.
